Northland Stainless manufactures heads by hydroforming gauge material from 14" to 100" in diameter, and
cold forming plate material (up to 1" thick) from 16" to 160" in diameter
(depending on head size and head type).
NSI can supply heads only, heads with nozzle and mayway openings, or complete
heads with nozzles installed. Mechanical polishing available down to 5 RA, we
polish correctly to your in-house vessels electropolishing requirements.

Hydroformed Gauge Heads
Hydroformed Gauge Heads are materially
stress-free, keeping their shape and surface finish, allowing easier
fit-ups with vessels and installation of fittings. By comparison,
traditionally manufactured spun heads can suffer from thinning,
stresses, pucker, and distortion. Hydroforming tooling costs and setup
times are also substantially less.
Northland can also hydroform virtually
any shape.
